House of Shine is a 501(c)(3) non-profit whose mission is to ignite the power within and ultimately change the world for the better by exposing children and women to their shine. Squires & Company developed House of Shine’s website four-plus years ago, and was thrilled to hear that a new website was in order to keep up with the organization’s expansion and growth. The Squires team worked closely with House of Shine to develop the site architecture from the ground up, accounting for all of the content their varying audiences would be seeking. We then opted to update the House of Shine logo to a more modern mark, and presented a range of concepts for the House of Shine team to consider. The selected concept utilizes a fun, bright color palette with an intriguing scrolling panel layout that presents the site’s content in a unique and engaging way. On the technology side, the Squires team developed the site with WordPress CMS and included a robust blog system. WooCommerce was leveraged to create a store for the organization’s products, and Constant Contact feeds are in place for event listings and registrations. Visit the site at houseofshine.com.
